THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH:
Episcopalians (as Angli-cans in the United States are known) combine the liturgical tradition of the Church with scripturally based teaching and preaching. Thus, they consider themselves to be Christians who are members of a Church that is both catholic and protestant.

THE HALE DEANERY
The Hale Deanery is made up of the Episcopal con-gregations in the southern-most portion of Illinois, and part of the Episcopal Diocese of Springfield.
It is named for Bishop Charles Reuben Hale.

HALE DEANERY'S
TEAM MINISTRY
 Five churches in the Hale Deanery are mission churches under the direct authority of the Bishop. These churches are located in Cairo, Harrisburg, Marion, McLeansboro, and West Frankfort. They are served by a clergy team comprised of Bishop, priests and deacons. These pastors serve on a rotation schedule.
