As in past years, the members of St James' signed up to spend a chilly December Saturday ringing the bells at a local retailer to benefit the Community "Tree of Lights" Fund and the Southern Illinois Salvation Army Kettle drive.  Ten percent of the proceeds from this effort went to the Salvation Army, and 90% stayed in Hamilton County for the local needy through the Tree of Lights. (The others who helped were Sandy Glassford, Fred Vallowe and Marty Wells, but they escaped the camera's eye!)
