HISTORY of ST. MARK'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH,
WEST FRANKFORT

1922 -

St. Mark's organized.

1923 -

On May 16th, St. Mark's was admitted into union with the Synod.

1924 -

Services held in an old store building at the corner of Main and Douglas.

1935 -

Plans made to build Church building on a lot that had been given to the congregation by a parishioner some years earlier.

1936 -

Building project begun.

1938 -

First service held in the Church building on Christmas.

1939 -

Church building dedicated by Bishop White.

1948 -

Church building consecrated.

2006 -

Picnic Pavillion constructed and dedicated.
